Summary: Very pleased
Comment: I ordered this camera as a replacement for our venerable Sony P90 which has been having some battery issues lately. Choice was between this or the Sony T100. In the end went with Canon on price and form factor.

The Good
- Video quality is excellent (as long as you don't use the zoom). I find myself using this more than my video camera now mainly because of the great portability
- Amazing battery life
- Pictures look great, still use the SLR for super high quality pics but this will do 99% of what most casual users need.
- Loads of picture 'modes' with presets, not much fine grain control but didn't really expected in this form factor
- It's tiny, very portable with quick startup meaning you find yourself taking a lot more shots.
- Face recognition is a nice feature, finding a lot less reject images

The Bad
- Supplied SD Card is too small (as usual)
- No low battery indicator. Warning is given only when the battery is almost out which is unfortunate since the battery lasts for ages and will undoubtedly mean a flat battery when you least expect it.

Summary: Great camera
Comment: This is an awesome little camera. The huge LCD screen alone was worth the purchase. My previous camera was a Nikon Coolpix 5600 and while the pictures came out pretty good, the shutter lag-time was quite frustrating. I'd always miss the shot I wanted because the picture was snapped well after I'd depressed the button. The other thing that was frustrating was the flash, it took soooooo long to recharge and the LCD would go black for 3 - 5 seconds. This camera has none of the those problems and is just great. Just on the "auto" setting it captures action shots really well. Took some photos of my horse and dogs and there wasn't an out of focus shot in the bunch. The rechargeable battery goes a long way on one charge. The software that comes with the camera does not have to be installed on your computer if you have Picasa (Google's free picture download program), but I'll give Canon's software a shot at some point, hopefully it's got more tools and features to use. Great, crisp photos, easy to operate camera, I think I referenced the manual once or twice, the rest was easy to figure out.

Summary: camera great: amazon free shipping sucks
Comment: Lots of functionality yet easy to use. Survived a drop on the rocks already. This camera rules; you won't be sorry. You will however be sorry if you select Amazon free shipping. Took almost 3 weeks to get the camera, which was in stock. Lame Amazon, lame. Should have paid the extra 20 bucks and bought it locally.

Summary: Cannon > Sony
Comment: Great camera! I recently purchased this camera for my girlfriend and the Sony Cybershot T100 for myself. If anyone is trying to decide between the two, I would definitely go with the Cannon. It's easier to use, has more features, and the screen is clearer. The Sony is nice to, but head to head this camera is nicer, cheaper, works with a usb cord(not the extremely bulkly sony one), and takes a cheaper memory card.

Summary: Great Small Camera
Comment: Love the 3' LCD and everything about camera. U should buy a better memory card with your purchase b/c the 32M card is a joke. It held 10 pics. I bought the 4g Sandisk SDHC after getting the camera and now it's perfect.
