Summary: Great camera for the amateur photographer!
Comment: I found this camera well designed and easy to operate. The controls are intuitive and the menus are clear but the options are a bit overwhelming - especially for the new photographer. What have I enjoyed? I have been able to get good, clear, sharp and balanced photographs of fall colors (my favorite time of year) and several beautiful sunsets and the best part was that I was able to download them to my computer and share them with family and friends. I am not into video so I cannot comment on this feature. However if you are looking for a great entry level camera that will challenge and enable you to take great pictures...this is the one. It comes complete with the necessary software and accessories, however I would invest in some additional items to take advantage of this product...extra batteries, a charger, camera bag and tripod and then, go out and have fun.

Summary: I love kodak cameras
Comment: I had an old Kodak 4530 (which I dropped into Lake Michigan)...ooopps! It was still working but was a slow camera. I love the almost instant ready feature on the Z1012. Turn it on and it's ready to go! Also the 3 picture right-after-another feature is great for action shots, (like the dogs running in the surf of Lake Michigan!) (I won't drop this one). The zoom on it is also great. Having used a kodak before, the buttons and menu's are similar, so it was easy enough to adjust. But, I still haven't even begun to use all the features on this camera.

Summary: Amazing pictures, Great price!
Comment: I have been using this camera for over a month now. I decided on this camera because of the high marks given it by Consumer Reports (top rated in digital cameras, non-SLR). I originally wanted to purchase an SLR, but this camera performed as well and better than the SLRs reviewed by Consumer Reports. The pictures are very clear and look like a professional took them. I don't know if I will be going back to a portrait studio again! The features on the camera are very easy to use. I recommend this camera to anyone looking to get shots of their busy children and those wishing to take high quality photos for framing.

Summary: love my new camera
Comment: I picked this camera because it was rated number 1 in Consumer Reports in its class, and it had all the features I wanted at the right price. It is easy to use and the first pictures I took were great. This is my first digital camera, and since I am not an expert have not used all the features it has yet. The software works very well and is easy to use. I am very happy, and would definitely recommend it.

Summary: WOW- This camera rocks
Comment: I ourchased this camera earlier this year. I wanted to try it out in different situations before I write my review. All I can say is WOW! This camera is the best digital camera that I have owned. I use smart capture almost all the time, and all pictures come out amazing.

What I like about the camera
1) The Zoom- I love the zoom on this camera. It is what drew me to buying this camera
2) Picture quality- amazing
3) 2 viewfinders- I love having two viewfinders so I can use the eye-level one when there is too much reflection on the LCD
4) Ease of use- I find this camera very easy to use

I did not like the fact that this camera came with a one use battery. I bought a Kodak rechargeable battery when I bought my camera. Other than that, I love everything about this camera.

If you are in the market for a new camera, I highly recommend this one.
